Knowledge transfer to the fields of organizational behavior and business is planned by several projects. The capacity to make accurate and realistic appraisals of situations is an important part of emotional competence (Project Elicitation) and highly applicable to work and organizational settings, where appropriate appraisals, emotions, and ensuing behaviors must be considered a major competitive advantage.
The results from Project Work should have implications for several aspects at work, such as work design, leadership, and social interactions at work, including the often neglected symbolic implications of job design and organizational behavior (self-worth). In a more general vein, the nature of human sociality, especially the norm of reciprocity, has deep implications for economic, work, and social domains (Project Social Norms).
Finally, research on autonomic psychophysiological patterning of emotional responses with respect to the underlying cognitive processing and the prepared action tendencies should be especially useful for work settings in which stress and extreme emotions need to be continuously monitored, such as piloting aircraft and spaceships (Project Response Patterning).
