An important goal of the Swiss National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) Affective Sciences is to train the new generations of affective scientists.
Therefore, a major effort is devoted to the Education and Training Program, aimed at fostering scientific quality and creativity among talented researchers in the affective sciences. The program is also designed to allow confirmed scholars who are already advanced in their own disciplines to acquire knowledge in complementary disciplines, as well as competence in interdisciplinary research.
The Graduate School and Postdoctoral program aim to promote an interdisciplinary approach towards affective phenomena, ranging from the neural architecture of emotions to the historical underpinnings of their manifestations, without losing the disciplinary specialization required for a professional career.
The
Graduate School is crucial to our NCCR. The program offers regular interdisciplinary seminars and varied training activities for the new researchers in the affective sciences.
The
Postdoctoral Program promotes research excellence by fostering specialized training and the acquisition of interdisciplinary competences in the framework of our varied research projects and research foci.
