Distinctions for two leading members of NCCR

Our Director Klaus Scherer has been elected a Fellow of the Association of Psychological Science in the United States. The Association for Psychological Science (previously the American Psychological Society) is dedicated to the advancement of scientific psychology and its representation at the national and international level. The Association's mission is to promote, protect, and advance the interests of scientifically oriented psychology in research, application, teaching, and the improvement of human welfare. Prof. Ernst Fehr of the Institute for Empirical Research in Economics at the University of Zurich, who leads project 9 (social norms) has been elected an honorary foreign member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Prof. Klaus Scherer is already a member of this body ; he was elected in 2000. Founded in 1780, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences is an independent policy research center that conducts multidisciplinary studies of complex and emerging problems. The Academy’s elected members are leaders in the academic disciplines, the arts, business, and public affairs. There are 4000 American Fellows and 600 Foreign Honorary Members.
