Abstract: Science is now an integral part of the blogosphere, and thousands of scientists post their thoughts daily on their blog. This lecture will tell you everything you always wanted to know about this phenomenon but were afraid to ask, including the many reasons for researchers to have a blog, the obstacles to overcome and the keys to a good start.
Antoine Blanchard started to blog in 2003 (under the nickname "Enro") and has been a leading actor of the French-speaking science blogosphere for the past few years. A scientist by training, he co-founded the "C@fé des sciences" community (http://www.cafe-sciences.org) in 2006 and is now a tireless advocate of science blogs. He has a monthly chronicle in the Swiss radio broadcast RSR.
